Who We Are

Spanish4Kiddos Educational Services, LLC is an online educational website based on the WooCommerce platform, formed in Fruita, Colorado. Our web address is https://spanish4kiddos.com.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

By default, WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. However, some plugins may collect personal data.

Comments

When visitors leave a comment on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How we protect your data

We do not sell, trade or rent your email address, subscriptions, or personal data with third-parties or external agencies. Visits to this website are used to analyze content performance through the use of cookies, which visitors can turn off at any time by modifying the Internet browser’s settings. 

Third-party apps or partners

Spanish4Kiddos shares the WooCommerce shop with Facebook, Instagram, Buy My a Coffee, and Jotform. The products, printables, courses, and resources (English or Spanish) are subject to copyright and terms with Spanish4Kiddos.

Our WooCommerce Shop

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed.

Location, IP address, and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping.

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

• Send you information about your account and order
• Respond to your requests, including feedback and complaints
• Process payments and prevent fraud
• Set up your account for our store
• Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
• Improve our store offerings
• Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email address and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. We will store order information for ten years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing address.

We will also store comments or reviews if you choose to leave them.

Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. Administrators and Shop managers can access:

Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and Customer information like your name, email address, and billing information. Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process requests and support you.

Google Meet Communications Policy and Tutor LMS (learning management system) Course Policy

Spanish4Kiddos uses Google Meet and Tutor LMS (learning management system) to deliver courses and virtual lessons. Virtual lessons are recorded using the Google Meet video conference tools using the standard encryption settings. Students enrolled in the appropriate course and older than 18 years of age can request a copy of the lesson recording by writing a request to Spanish4Kiddos.

Recorded virtual lessons may be used for training purposes. Please, indicate if you prefer not to have your recording used for training purposes. Google Meet virtual lessons are for students older than 18 years old. Younger than 18 years old that attend tutoring or virtual lessons need a legal guardian present at all times during the session. Virtual Tutoring via Google Meet

Virtual tutoring is available for students in grades K-5 and PreK. All tutoring lessons occur via Google Meet. Please have the latest software update. Spanish4Kiddos recommends to use your computer or tablet for better learning experience. All tutoring sessions must be paid in advance using the Stripe payment methods. Payment plans are available. Downloads or printables may be used to enhance the learning of each student. Each digital resource will be emailed or sent to the student via email. Each digital printable is in PDF format. Please have the latest and most current application or software to download printables or resources. Parents or legal guardians must be present or nearby during the session. Tutors support the learning of each student focusing on individualized instruction. Tutors do not complete projects, homework, assignments for schools, classes, or write papers for students. Virtual tutoring appointments cancellations or rescheduling must have 24-48 hours notice. Virtual tutoring sessions are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Membership via Paid Membership Pro Software

Spanish4Kiddos offers membership to content, products, and courses via Paid Membership Pro software. When users sign up for a membership (one-time, monthly, annually, or lifetime), you gain access to special and exclusive content of Spanish4Kiddos via Paid Membership Pro. Checkout process is through Stripe payment. Memberships do not expire. Membership accounts are non-transferrable, non-refundable. Tutoring sessions via membership occur after 30 days of membership. You can cancel at anytime. Memberships are not prorated. All downloads are in the same format (pdf) as in Spanish4Kiddos products and courses. All Spanish4Kiddos products and downloads follow copyright policies.

Payments

We accept payments through Stripe. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information. Please see the Stripe Privacy Policy for more details.

Refunds

One unlimited without expiration download per order is allowed for each digital products. Downloads of digital products are non-refundable. Please make sure to have the right software or application to download digital products. Digital products download as Portable Document Format (PDF). We do not send printouts or mail orders to physical addresses. There are no physical products. Enrollment to the Spanish4Kiddos courses are non-refundable. The online courses and virtual lessons have no expiration with unlimited downloads once enrolled into the course(s). You must register and create a student account. Enrollments in a course are non-transferrable. Memberships are non-transferrable, non-refundable, no expiration time, and not prorated.

Akismet

We collect information about visitors who comment on sites that use our Akismet anti-spam service. The information we collect depends on how the User sets up Akismet for the site, but typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

Spanish4Kiddos Educational Services, LLC is not responsible for any duplication or replication of any content from this website that may appear on another website without my permission such as articles, pictures or projects.

Spanish4Kiddos Educational Services, LLC allows the use of digital products in the classroom as educational supplements, in homeschool groups, or as a learning activity at home. You may not resell, alter content, copy content or graphics, or redistribute stories, graphic designs and any content from Spanish4Kiddos. You may not change graphics, fonts, or content on any Spanish4Kiddos learning materials.
